In 1904, the first church was dedicated on February 26 with Fr. Cosmas Seeberger as pastor. Sadly, on June 19 this church burned to the ground. Without being dismayed, the people and pastor began work on a new building immediately. The second church building was completed and dedicated on October 9, 1905. 8 years later, Our Lady of Guadalupe grew to 40 families in the congregation. Out of these families was Fr. Richard Schwieterman, C.PP.S., the first son of the parish to be ordained. Years later, his brother Fr. Roman Schwieterman, C.PP.S., would be ordained becoming the second son of the parish. Throughout the years challenges and changes were met; the church stood strong through the great depression, several great pastors had come and gone, many upgrades were made to the church and the first festival took place in 1955. With the growing number of families, more than a 120 families, Our Lady of Guadalupe was in need of a bigger church. Construction of this new building (current to this day) began in 1959 and on May 11, 1961 the new church was dedicated by Archbishop Karl J. Alter.
Our Lady of Guadalupe remains an active parish of the Archdiocese of Cincinnati. On July 1, 2022, Our Lady of Guadalupe along with Holy Rosary(St. Marys), St. Patrick(Glynnwood), Immaculate Conception(Celina), and St. Teresa (Rockford) joined to form St. Isidore the Farmer, Family of Parishes. Our Family of Parishes is led by Pastor Father Rob Muhlenkamp and Parochial Vicars Father Prashanth Bandanadham and Father Adam Berning.
